My husband and I recently had the opportunity to visit Balsam Mountain Inn in Balsam, North Carolina, and I couldn't resist taking pictures of this beautiful piece of Southern history.
Tucked into the mountains of western North Carolina, the inn has the kind of character that simply can't be recreated overnight. From its welcoming porches and distinctive architecture to the little details that speak to another time, it's a wonderful reminder of what makes historic Southern homes so special.
As a REALTOR®, I've always believed that a home is about much more than square footage, finishes, or the latest trends. It's about the way a place feels.
